Terms of service

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using LingoAlarm (the "Service"), you enter into an agreement with Iñaki Escárate, the operator of LingoAlarm, and agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What LingoAlarm is

LingoAlarm is a language-learning alarm clock app. It lets you set alarms that require a vocabulary quiz to dismiss. The Service is provided as-is, for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Your account

Creating an account is optional. If you do, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Signing in syncs your word lists, learning progress, stats, and preferences to your account so they can be restored and viewed on the web dashboard — see the Privacy policy for details.

4. Subscriptions and payment

LingoAlarm is free to download. Every language, level, built-in deck, custom deck and historical Stat remains available without payment. A fresh install receives quiz dismissal on seven unique device-local dates. Only the first completed quiz on a local date advances that count; additional alarms that date still include quizzes. On later dates, free alarms use slide dismissal.

LingoAlarm Pro restores quiz dismissal in future alarms and is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The seven free learning mornings are app-managed access, not a store trial, and do not require payment details:

• Monthly — US$3.99 per month, with no store trial.
• Lifetime — US$19.99 as a one-time, non-renewing purchase.

Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app and may vary by country and by store tax rules. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Monthly renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renewal is turned off before the deadline shown by your store. Lifetime is charged once and does not renew.

Cancelling. Manage or cancel the monthly subscription in your store account — on iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops future monthly renewals; Pro remains available until the paid period ends. A lifetime purchase can be restored through the same store account.

Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled under their policies — we cannot issue refunds directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights in your country are unaffected.

We may change subscription prices or what Pro includes. Price changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and you will be asked to consent before any increase takes effect on your renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app except as permitted by law.
• Use the Service to harass, harm, or deceive others.
• Circumvent security measures or try to access accounts that aren't yours.
• Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.

6. Alarms are not a medical device

LingoAlarm's alarms depend on your phone's OS, notification permissions, battery state, and other factors outside our control. Don't rely on LingoAlarm alone for anything safety-critical. Use a backup alarm if missing an event would be harmful.

7. Content and intellectual property

LingoAlarm's code, design, logo, and bundled vocabulary content are owned by us and protected by copyright. Your custom word lists belong to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including missed alarms, lost data, or lost productivity.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app or on this page before taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using LingoAlarm at any time by deleting the app, and delete your account and synced data as described on the account deletion page. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms.
